This follows claims that himself and President Uhuru Kenyatta are in the process of restructuring the cabinet, in line with their building bridges initiative.

But addressing the press at the ODM headquarters, the Orange house on Wednesday, the opposition leader Raila Odinga distanced himself from the claims.

He noted that he is in no way involved in Uhuru's leadership operations and is not interfering with the Jubilee government, terming it a making of the media.

"I have heard claims that myself and the President are in the process of forming a joint cabinet but that is a lie," he said.

"I am not in any way involved in the information being propagated by the media," added the veteran politician.

Raila also rubbished claims of a looming joint tour of the lakeside Nyanza region.

He termed the rumours as misleading, urging Kenyans to only depend on official information from either the President's office or his.

"In case of such plans, they will only come from the President's office or our headquarters," added the former Prime Minister.

This also follows allegations from Sports Cabinet Secretary Rashid Echesa that Odinga is using his closeness to the President to secure his ouster from the cabinet.
