A fake pastor, David Maina Karimi of the Chosen Church of Holy Spirit International from Nyeri County was caught in Machakos County trying to steal from a man who won Sh33 million jackpot.
The man, who claimed to have been directed by God to the jackpot winner, arrived at Kathiani village in Machakos asking to be directed to the home of the jackpot winner, as he had a specific message from God for him.
At the home of the jackpot winner, Kamiri revealed that God had revealed to him that he (jackpot winner) should give a 10% tithe and another Sh5 million.
Pastor Kamiri who was in white turban, created suspicion among the boda-boda operators who inquired more on how he came to know that the jackpot winner came from Kathiani village.
However, keen residents came to the rescue of the jackpot winner. They descended on the man with kicks and blows before he was rescued by the police.
This incidence has created a buzz on social media. Kiambu residents have reacted to the Nyeri fake pastors’ incidence differently.
