This morning, Southend Mall situated opposite with T-Mall on Lang'ata road was demolished by National Environment Management Authority (NEMA).

The mall is said to be situated on a river bank, which for years has been leading to flooding at the place, with Lang'ata road and Nairobi West area the most affected.

NEMA is set to conduct a major crackdown on all buildings and structures sited along the river banks.

Others are backing up his view, arguing that NEMA is only covering up its failures because they did see the building from its foundation stage.
