Amani National Congress (ANC) Party leader Musalia Mudavadi has hit back at Garissa Township MP Aden Duale for linking him to the Goldenberg scandal.

In a statement to newsrooms by ANC Party Secretary General Barrack Muluka on Friday, Mudavadi laughed off Duale's claims, terming them baseless.

The Former Vice President accused Duale of using irrelevant tricks to castigate leaders opposed to Jubilee government style of leadership.

Mudavadi in the statement asked Duale to respect himslef.

He claimed that the Leader of Majority has continued to use his position in Parliament to undermine the interests of Kenyans.

"Duale's corruption allegations against Musalia Mudavadi are baseless and he should find something meaningful to talk about," Muluka said in the statement.

The ANC secretary-general said that they will not be dragged into Duale's political antics.

He said that there are important things to talk about, adding that the  party will not be cowed by the likes of Aden Duale.

"ANC will continue to play the opposition role and question the government activities," Muluka said.

On Friday, Duale called for Mudavadi's probe over the alleged Goldenberg and Nairobi cemetary scandals.

The MP said that the scandals were unearthed during Mudavadi's tenure as Finance and Local Government Minister.

Duale was reacting after Mudavadi questioned the Finance Bill 2018 that is no law.

Mudavadi accused the government of over-burdening Kenyans with taxes to fund its activities.

He also criticised the Jubilee government's alleged excessive borrowing from external lenders.
