Just days after hinting a possible recruitment of former Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka to government, President Uhuru Kenyatta may have after all appointed him already.

At Tseikuru during Peter Musyoka's burial, Uhuru said he doesn't have any problem having Mr Musyoka's input and has since reinstated his security details.

And when he addressed the crowd, a cheerful Musyoka, has in October accompanied the president to China for an official trip, said he was ready to work for the president and 'errand boy'.

On Monday, Kalonzo was among powerful government delegation deployed to South Sudan in the company of Foreign Affairs Cabinet Secretary Monica Juma to deliver a message of peace to President Salva Kiir on behalf of Uhuru.

Although it could not be immediately established on what role Mr Musyoka will play, he has been likely fronted as peace envoy to IGAD, a role he played when he was Vice President.

He's credited on the stability in the Horn of Africa, thus Uhuru's decision to deploy him to South Sudan to deliver peace message after the two warring sides declared ceasefire.
