Speaking at the Nyayo stadium, the President said though suspects deserve a fair trial, it is shocking many of them are being given lenient bond terms.

“I agree that the suspects deserve fair trial but nothing more than that. I am calling on our Judiciary to ensure that its procedures not used to protect impunity,” he said.

He added that the spirit to fight corruption loses impetus when suspects are easily released.

“Kenyans spirits are dampened when we witness suspects released on ridiculously low bail terms, interference in legislative processes and use of the court process to delay justice,” Uhuru added.

The President called on all government arms to help in the fight against the monster.

A tough-talking head of state said all those who have been looting public coffers will face the wrath of the government.

"To those engaging in fraud and abuse of office, please listen to me keenly, you can run but you cannot hide. We will catch up with you, and make you pay dearly for every coin stolen. The broom that is sweeping across the nation will soon find its way to your doorsteps," Uhuru said.

He also called on Kenyans to help fight graft by confronting anyone involved in graft.
