Embakasi East MP Babu Owino has said that Deputy President William Ruto is a depressed man because he is not powerful as he used to be before the handshake.
Through his twitter account, Owino said that the second in command is the most affected politician after President Uhuru Kenyatta and ODM Leader Raila Amolo Odinga agreed to work together on March 9, 2018.
He said that the handshake has left Ruto’s camp in jitters ahead of 2022 presidential race.
Babu Owino added that Ruto had the powers of summoning giants; the Director of Criminal Investigations' George Kinoti and Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission's Eliud Wabukala but he no longer has them.
“DP Ruto is a very depressed man. Ruto's obsession with Raila Odinga is understandable. Those days when he could order DCI and EACC from Sugoi via phone calls are long gone and now he has to try and arm-twist these institutions by heckling in public rallies & funerals,” he said.
The leaders in Ruto’s camp have continued to lament over the fight against graft. The leaders claim Ruto is being targeted by President Uhuru as he fights the vice.
