The Building Bridges Taskforce has made first major public announcement weeks after visiting State House to brief President Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga about their progress.
Head of Public Service Joseph Kinyua gazetted the team in May, just two months after the two leaders reconciled on March 9th.
In a press release, Chairman Yusu Haji and his deputy Adams Oloo said the team will start conducting public engagement meetings from 23rd October as it seeks to find lasting solution in uniting the country.
They have divided Kenya into ten regions to make it effective in terms of accessibility when getting views.
Among the regions include: Western, Nyanza, Coast, Central and North Eastern
Others are Nairobi, Lower Easter, Upper Eastern, North Rift and South Rift. The first hearing will be done in Machakos and Kitui representing Lower Eastern.
President Uhuru Kenyatta in his previous outing has termed the handshake as 'only Raila Odinga and himself have the deeper understanding of it'.
At Murang'a on Thursday, Raila also insisted that the Bulding Bridges initiative will restore peace and tranquility in the country.
