Smoking bhang in Kenya is not only illegal but also detrimental to your overall health.
From a biological point of view, it has devastating consequences.
Many people are only aware of the consequences of smoking to the lung and heart without knowing that the smoke particles can also have an impact on the unborn child in one way or another.
Essentially, pregnant women need to be schooled on the effects associated with smoking bhang while pregnant.

1.Premature birth
Among the most risk factors of premature birth is having a previous premature birth, pregnancy with twins, triplets or other multiples, in an interval of less than six months between pregnancies, conceiving through in vitro fertilisation, problems with the uterus, cervix or placenta and smoking cigarettes.
It is also reported that premature birth is as a result of smoking bhang as well.
2.Low birth weight.
Various factors including smoking bhang have been reported to be associated with low birth weight.
The smoke particles usually bar smooth flow of blood and nutrients to the fetus hence resulting to the condition.
3.Stillbirth
This is giving birth to a dead child and it is mainly due to smoking bhang.
This usually occurs when the fetus does not get enough oxygen from the mother.
