Deputy President William Ruto's involvement in dubious dealings will cost him presidency come 2022, a former Member of Parliament has claimed.
Protus Momanyi, the former Bonchari MP argued that Kenyans are slowly losing trust in DP Ruto because his name has been dragged several times into corruption.
"I want to confirm that DP Ruto will find it hard sailing through in his bid to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta in 2022 because of the numerous corruption allegations facing him," he said.
Mr Momanyi noted that even if DP Ruto reforms now, Kenyans won't elect him for the country's top seat.
He appealed to President Uhuru Kenyatta to sack DP Ruto failure to which his Big 4 Agenda won't be achieved.
"Uhuru will find it hard implementing his Big 4 Agenda because money which should be used to funds projects is getting lost in corruption. Abandoning Ruto will be safe for the Big 4 Agenda to be achieved easily," he added.
The ex-lawmaker regretted that youthful people appointed into government are stealing public funds arguing that ageing people should be given opportunities to serve in government.
His remarks come just four days to Deputy President William Ruto's planned tour to Gusii this Friday, his 15th tour in just under one year, an indication that he's keen to win both Nyamira and Kisii Counties.
