Ford Kenya leader Moses Wetangula has confirmed that the party will hold its grassroots elections very soon.
Speaking on the Radio Jambo morning show early Thursday morning Wetangula revealed that the party is preparing to hold the grassroots elections and the exercise will kick off in the coastal counties.
“We are the second oldest political party in Kenya after KANU and we want to strengthen ourselves in readiness for the next general elections”, he said.
Wetangula added that ford Kenya has got branches in all the 47 counties and the party is determined to elect credible officials.
He noted that the elections will be held in a free and transparent manner.
“We want to finish the grass root elections by May and hold the national elections thereafter, and our goal is to be the biggest political party in Kenya and get many representatives in elective positions across the country”, he added.
Wetangula said that as the party leader, he will go an extra mile to bring harmony in the body. He also said that Ford Kenya will support the Wiper party candidate in the forthcoming Embakasi South parliamentary by-elections.
