An elected Member of Parliament in Nakuru County has claimed that the ongoing graft war is targeting Deputy President William Ruto.
Bahati MP Kimani Ngunjiri, while speaking during an interview on Monday evening, said DP Ruto should not be dragged into the alleged loss of billions in the Kimwarer and Arror dams construction.
"Why is Ruto being mentioned in every scandal that comes up in this country. He is being targeted unfairly just because he is eyeing the country's top seat," said Ngunjuri.
The vocal Jubilee MP said Ruto a section of politicians in the country must cease 'attacking' Ruto.
"Ruto is not in charge of Finance docket in this country. Finance CS Henry Rotich has given a breakdown on how the money was allocated on the dam's construction and therefore, DP Ruto should not be dragged into the scandal," he added.
According to Ngunjiri, Ruto is clean and politicians should 'give him a break'.
"Politicians should stop crucifying DP Ruto for an offence he has not committed," he added.
