His remarks comes days after government's  directive to deduct 1.5% housing levy on Kenyan's salary to finance  affordable housing in line with President Uhuru Kenyatta's Big Four agenda.

According to the renowned advocate, high levels of taxation calls for trust levels in government.

He believes that this has not been the case with the Jubilee government considering that Kenyans have lost faith with the regime. He adds that Kenyans believes that the money will be lost through graft as it has been in the past.

"High levels of taxation require HIGH TRUST in govt. For housing tax to be accepted, Kenyans must have high trust in govt. Kenyans have ZERO TRUST in JUBILEE for they believe JUBILEE will STEAL the money...& CS Macharia enacted a law that WHEN JUBILEE steal they will be fined 10k,"Ahmednasir tweet read.

Ahmednasir also  pointed that Infrastructure Cabinet Secretary James Macharia has failed to enact reasonable penalties incase funds were misappropriated.

This comes after the misappropriation law gazetted recommends a fine of ten thousands shillings or a two year jail term or both.

The law has elicited mixed reactions with a big number terming it as 'joke' arguing the penalty was not reasonable as it would encourage misappropriation.
