The daughter of Kisumu County governor Anyang’ Nyong’o, who is among one of the top actors in the Hollywood movie “The Black Panther,” came out to react to this contradicting news.

“Whose account of reality matters? Rare #BlackPanther sighting perspective,” she said

This was after two different stories came out after a photographer captured a rare black animal in Laikipia.

The international media reported that this rare animal had not been seen in Africa as a whole for the past 100 years.

According to various media sources, a British photographer Will Burrad Lucas was the first one to capture this animal at Laikipia Wilderness Camp.

However, curious Kenyans on social media came out in numbers denying these allegations terming them as false.

Various people have cited spotting this wild animal or at least it resembles before.

Conservationist Mordecai Ogada came out guns blazing to put the record straight that this animal had been seen before.

She claimed that in August 2013, their photographer has spotted a black leopard, similar to the one in question, at Ol Jogi Gane Reserve in Laikipia.
