Wajir Women Representative Fatuma Gedi has asked the police and the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Noordin Haji to speed up investigations and take action against Sharon Otieno’s killers.
Gedi wants the police to act speedily and bring Sharon killers to book.
The MP wants the police not to spare anyone implicated in Sharon’s murder.
She said that the family and Kenyans are crying for justice for the second year university student and her baby who were brutally murdered last week.
“Detectives probing the murder must speed up investigations and take action against those who killed the university student and her baby,” Gedi told journalists on Monday.
She said that justice to the two and their family has to be done speedily.
Investigations into Sharon’s murder is in top gear.
On Tuesday, detectives quizzed Migori Governor Okoth Obado who has been adversely mentioned in the murder.
Sharon family alleges that Obado had a hand in the brutal murder.
The family also claims that Sharon was pregnant for the ODM Governor.
Governor Obado has, however, refuted the claims.
The Governor's Personal Assistant (PA) Michael Oyamo is among suspects in police custody in connection to the murder.
DPP Haji says that his office will not spare anyone implicated into the gruesome murder.
