In a tweet, Akombe expressed her gratitude to people who showed her support after getting killed by social media. She also apologized to those who mourned her fake death.

"I’m grateful and overwhelmed by your calls and messages of support. I don’t take any of them for granted. And to those who mourned me, I am really sorry for the pain caused to you. But I am equally touched by the kind words you had for my ‘obituary’," she said.

Allegations of her death went viral on Monday. Some bloggers posted this news on different site indicating that she had been strangled in her house.

However, Akombe came out to attack bloggers who spread rumours of people's deaths without properly confirming from legit sources. She cautioned them against publishing such bad news for the sake of money.

Akombe became a common figure during the 2017 general elections which was marred with lots of controversies. However, she ran away to the United States where she currently stays.
