The war of words between Nyeri Town Member of Parliament Ngunjiri Wambugu and his Kapseret counterpart Oscar Sudi continues to elicit mixed reactions among Kenyans on social media.
This comes after Wambugu hit out at Sudi following his recent attacks against President Uhuru Kenyatta.
In a post on his official Facebook page, Wambugu reminded Sudi that the 2007 post-election violence is still fresh in the minds of Kenyans, adding that it was President Uhuru Kenyatta who convinced the Mt Kenya region to trust Deputy President William Ruto.
In a quick rejoinder, Sudi accused Wambugu of engaging in retrogressive politics, adding that his political stand is influenced by handouts.
Sudi further argued that the violence witnessed after the 2007 polls were allegedly caused by Raila Odinga's calls for mass action. He, however, noted that the chaos witnessed then will never occur again in the country.
The war of words between the two leaders sparked a debate online, with a section of Kenyans urging the duo to focus on development instead of engaging in an online spat.
Here are some of the reactions by Kenyans.
