Why Babu Owino threatened to storm a Nairobi police station on Tuesday

Embakasi East Member of Parliament Babu Owino was among many Kenyans who were concerned after a lady who recorded police officers roughing a woman was arrested. 

The lady identified as Njeri Wa Muthoni on Facebook had posted earlier on Tuesday 5th February 2019 that she had been arrested following her move to record police officers roughing up a certain woman.

She was arrested and taken to Kasarani police station and later released on Sh10,000 cash bail.

Babu Owino threatened to storm into Kasarani police station together with other citizens who he would mobile. 

"I will mobilise patriots to storm Kasarani police station in solidarity with Njeri if she is not released immediately! Ifikie Fred Matiangi Joseph Boinnet," read the Tweet by the Embakasi East Legislator. 

Babu his known to always stay true to his word from the days he served as a student leader.

He wanted the matter to be sorted out as soon as possible by Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang'i and Inspector of Police Joseph Boinet.
