With Coast politics taking new twist following Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho and his Kilifi counterpart Amason Kingi’s meeting on Wednesday, the region’s perceived ODM rebels who have openly declared their support for Deputy President William Ruto are now left with hard decisions to make.
The relationship between the two Governors has in the past been punctuated by rivalry which saw the duo pull towards different directions.
To forestall an embarrassing showdown, they met on Wednesday where they made a resolution to work together for the sake of Coast unity.
So what next for Aisha Jumwa who has been at loggerheads with ODM following her recent dalliance with the DP?
With Kingi who a fortnight ago warned the orange party against punishing the ‘rebels’ gone, will Jumwa and her Msambweni MP Suleiman Dori stick with Ruto to the bitter end?
It will be a hard choice the vocal MPs will have to make. Nonetheless, a decision has to be made.
