On Wednesday, High Court Judge Mumbi Ngugi reduced the Sh100 million bail to Sh10 million.

The High Court Judge also reduced the Sh150 million bond that was slapped on the governor to Sh30 million.

In a court order, the Judge said other conditions set by the Magistrate court will remain the same.

The governor moved to the High Court seeking a review of the cash bail that he termed 'ridiculous' and 'outrageous'.

Through his lawyer, Mr Paul Nyamodi, the Governor termed the cash bail as unconstitutional.

On Tuesday, the Samburu governor pleaded not guilty to charges of abuse of office, illegal acquisition of public property and conflict of interest.

He also pleaded not guilty to a charge of conspiring to commit an economic crime.

Governor Lenolkulal is accused of allegedly trading with the Samburu county government through Oryx service station for supply of fuel worth over 84 million shillings.
