The Kenya Films and Classification Board, and Kenya National Drama festival team led by the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Ezekiel Mutua on Tuesday inspected Kibabii University in Bungoma county where this year's National Drama and Film Festival will be held.
Speaking at the University premises, Mutua affirmed that the government and the board are entirely convinced that Kibabii will host the event fruitfully.
He thanked the Kibabii University management for the reception and promised total cooperation until the events come to an end assuring the Kibabii fraternity of the government's commitment to the event.
"I want to thank you all for the welcome. We are satisfied that the 60th edition of the Kenya Drama and Film festival will be fruitful as a result of the University and Bungoma county leadership readiness," said Mutua.
Kenya Film and Classifications Board (KFCB) is the title sponsor for this year's event themed 'Promoting Moral Responsibility Among The Youth Through Theater and Film'
The Ministry of education chose Kibabii University to be the host of the 2019 National Drama festivals scheduled to commence as from 3rd of April to 13th of April.
