Mombasa County Governor Ali Hassan Joho has expressed satisfaction after Tudor Sub-County Level 4 hospital successfully conducted its first cesarean section surgery.
"Our gratitude goes out to the Almighty for the safe delivery of the healthy baby and Kenya Red Cross for their valued partnership," Joho said on Friday.
The governor said the perpetual empowerment of Sub-County health facilities is not only aimed at improving the access of quality healthcare to the 'wananchi' but also decongesting Coast General Hospital and further transforming it into a super- speciality medical facility.
He said the County government was realizing its goal to decongest the referral hospital by equipping the Sub-county hospitals with state of the art equipment.
"I would like to thank the team of doctors and medical staff who made this possible. Going forward we will have many complicated operations conducted in all our health facilities."
