In his renewed efforts to win 2022 presidential elections, Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka has banked on Nyamira and Kisii Counties which he says will play and indispensable role in his victory.
While hosting Nyamira leaders who had visited him in Karen to condole with him following his father's death, Kalonzo reportedly said he's confidant of scooping the region's 1.5 million votes.
"You are my 'Chikorera' (family) and I am sure with your support, I will definitely win the State House race. I have campaigned at Nyamira and Kisii, the support is always overwhelming.
"Your support in 2022 will definitely land me at State House. Take that to the bank. All we need is looking for partnerships with few other leaders. Abagusii community are my targets in this journey," he reportedly told the leaders.
Governor John Nyagarama, Borabu MP Ben Momanyi, politician Victor Swanya had led a team of local leaders on Thursday's meeting in Karen.
In 2017, Wiper won Borabu and almost captured West Mugirango (Steve Mogaka), Kitutu Masaba (Victor Swanya) and Nyamira senatorial seat through lawyer Nyambega Mose.
It will be Kalonzo's second stab at presidency in 2022 after a disastrous outing in 2007 when he finished third overall.
