An angry man forced his eldest sister to scamper for her safety for allegedly failing to get a husband in as many years.
The incident happened on Wednesday evening at Ikonge in Nyamira County.
Walter Nyamai said his ageing sister Doris Moraa has failed to get a husband for marriage thus causing 'chaos' at home.
"Moraa is getting 'old'. She has refused to find a man. All the young siblings who comes after her have been married. She will not have space at home," said angered Nyamai.
He said he can't continue condoning Moraa at home since he has a family to feed.
"I work tirelessly at the farm to feed my wife and my 2 kids. I am not going to be persuaded to allow her back home," he maintained.
Elders led by John Tonda said Nyamai refused to listen to them.
"We tried to talk to Nyamai but, he couldn't listen to us. He has struggled to make the family stand after the demise of their parents 9 years ago," said Tonda.
Fred Obae, area local chief said Moraa reported the matter to him but, he is yet to get Nyamai to comment on the same.
"Moraa informed me of what happened but, I have summuned Nyamai to my office tomorrow, Thursday to talk over the same," he said.
Obae urged siblings to embrace peace and involve elders whenever they are faced with difficulties.
