Gatundu South Member of Parliament Moses Kuria on Monday during the Day Break Show at Citizen TV commented on the ongoing rift between Nairobi County Governor Mike Sonko and Nairobi County Women Rep Esther Passaris.
During the show hosted by Trevor Ombija and Zindzi Kibiku, Moses Kuria attached Nairobians stating that people should never complain about Sonko’s behaviour since they are the ones who overwhelmingly voted him into power.
“Nairobi people overwhelmingly voted for Mike Sonko and they got a package. People should not complain, that is what they deserve and should live with it,” said Moses Kuria.
This comes days after Sonko and Passaris fell out during the Madaraka Day celebrations at Pumwami Grounds forcing the women representative to walk out of the event.
The flamboyant city boss insulted Passaris telling her off. She had claimed that Sonko doesn’t pick her calls, which Sonko answered cautioning her that he is not her husband to pick her calls whenever she calls him.
These words have since been termed “hate speech” by a section of people including FIDA, who through their Executive Director, Ms.Teresa Omondi, have called for the arrest of Mike Sonko for shaming and disrespecting Passaris.
