Political analyst Mutahi Ngunyi has asked the Deputy President William Ruto to stop politics and engage in development agenda.
Speaking through his YouTube channel on Sunday, the analyst said Ruto may lose President Uhuru’s in 2022 if he does not stop politics and focus on leading Kenyans.
According to Mutahi, Ruto has become a complainer gift with commotion rather than a leader who is ready to be at the front.
“To fixed government, Uhuru needs leaders not politicians, a politician, and leader are very different. A politician is a complainer and a person with the gift of commotion while a leader is a person who goes to the front. A leader does not excite the crowd, his speech maybe limited instead he directs crowd speech or no speech,” opined Prof. Mutahi.
He concluded by saying that the head of state is after leadership which is involved with vision and not politics and the 2022 succession.
“Uhuru is, therefore, inviting Ruto to be a leader. A politician is about elections but a leader is about vision and Uhuru is asking Ruto to top vision and not elections,” said Ngunyi.
With his remarks on a politician creating commotion, it is clear that the message is to the deputy president and his allies who have created wrangles in the Jubilee party dividing it into 'Team Kieleweke' and 'Team TangaTanga.'
