A picture of a man, Fredrick Waruwe, with a king size piece of ugali on his shoulder has gone viral on the internet.
The man who put his life at risk just for food surprised many and even some argued that the president should accord him State Commendation for his bravely.
However, do you know that the man was doing all this for his friends?
Well, after an exclusive interview by K24 TV, Fredrick revealed that he struggled to rescue food from stalls that were being demolished in Kibera by government officers for the sake of his dying friend.
Unfortunately, even after all that struggle, he came back only to find his friend and their leader dead.
Fredrick with others live in the cold along the streets of Kibera.
He revealed that he lives on the streets after getting back from Kamiti Prison, where he had been jailed for two years.
Sadly for him, he came back to find his wife and their child taken by another man. His wife had other children with this man, and so Fredrick couldn’t do anything.
He was broken down and this lead him into the cold streets. Their humble plea to good Samaritans is to help him with beddings and work as life in the cold streets has become hard.
