An elected Member of Parliament in Nyamira County on Sunday at Nyantaro area in Bosamaro fired warning shots to Governor John Nyagarama over sluggish development.
West Mugirango MP Vincent Kemosi said Governor Nyagarama should be competent after his 2017 election victory was upheld.
"Nyamira people are not happy with the wrangles in Nyagarama's government. We need to see competency after the apex court upheld Nyagarama's victory," he stated.
The vocal lawmaker insisted that he will not keep mum to allow the county boss mismanage the county.
"We need more investors to invest in Nyamira county for our youths to get jobs. I'm appealing to Nyagarama to stop working with cartels to frustrate investors," he added.
The MP regretted that Governor Nyagarama has not initiated any project in the county which locals can smile about.
"There is no tangible development in the county. It is high time Nyagarama should work for the people who elected him," he noted.
The Ford Kenya party elected MP said Nyamira county is lugging behind in terms of development since Nyagarama is surrounded with cartels who are interested to divert public funds to their own pockets.
