Political analyst Prof Edward Kisiang'ani has weighed in on the ongoing rift being witnessed within the ruling Jubilee Party as well as the attacks between political heavyweights in the country.
According to the analyst, the battle of words and threats between the supporters of President Uhuru Kenyatta, Deputy President William Ruto and ODM leader Raila Odinga's have reached fever pitch.
Taking to his Twitter handle on Sunday evening, the analyst said the allies of the three political heavyweights are not relenting in their attacks, adding that the rift in Jubilee is now irreversible.
"The ongoing acrimonious confrontation between allies of President Uhuru and former PM Raila Odinga on one hand and supporters of DP Ruto on the other has now reached fever pitch. No side is relenting. The truth is the split in Jubilee is now irreversible," he tweeted.
There has been an ongoing war of words between opposition politicians and DP Ruto's allies over the past few months, with the attacks escalating as the war against graft which is being spearheaded by President Uhuru gains momentum.
Ruto's supporters have accused Uhuru and Ruto of using the anti-graft war to target the DP with an intention of sabotaging his 2022 presidential bid.
