SD cards are used as storage devices of photos, songs, videos and also documents. Getting over with the paperwork regime, SD cards are used in phones, computers, cameras and other devices. They are mostly used because they are more convenient and less expensive.
As you purchase your memory card, do not forget that they can be formatted accidentally or damaged. You will notice the damage once your photos are missing, your device says the card is not installed, unreadable or unsupported files, a constant message from the device to format the card or unable to copy or move any file within the card.
This can be solved through the following ways;
1. Using another device
If you install your SD card in a device and fails to appear, try to connect the card in another device since not all devices can be compatible with your card.
If your card is unreadable, first connect it to a reader system. From your computer, copy or move your files and photos to the computer since formatting will completely delete all the files. For smartphones and cameras, recovery software is needed.
3. Reinstall your drivers
Your drivers could be the ones corrupted making your SD card appear missing, try uninstalling. From your computer, click on the device manager, double click your disk drive and then your SD name. A tab on uninstalling will appear, click on it and remove the SD card, try connecting it and PC will detect it.
