A woman is yet to come into terms after 3 armed thugs break into her shop, raped her before they stole Sh30,000 on Tuesday night at Riosugo in Nyacheki, Kisii County.
Neighbors said they heard Moraa crying at 11 pm and when they rushed there, they found her bleeding from her private parts and the thugs were nowhere to be seen.
“Police officers should ensure the suspects are arrested and taken to court,” said Michael Onsombi.
Confirming the incident, area chief, Daniel Nyaoga, said the thugs raided the woman’s shop, ordered her to undress before they defiled her several times.
“The armed thugs broke into Euniah Moraa’s shop, forced her to undress in front of her 6-year-old daughter, defiled her before they made away with Sh30,000 she had sold for the day,” he said.
Nyaoga said the thugs locked woman’s daughter in a store to bar her from making any noise.
He noted that woman is currently being treated at Nyamache Sub County hospital.
