According to Uasin Gishu Kuppet secretary general Elijah Maiyo, Amb. Amina is incompetent as she has failed in her mandate as the Education CS.

“She has demonstrated on several occasions that she is not firm or rushing on her decisions making,” said Maiyo in his office, Friday.

“We can’t imagine what will happen this year if we have the issue of recalling letters all the time. The issues of new curriculum, she says they are ready the next day we are not ready and it is coming from the Republic of Kenya CS. It unfortunate to have that kind of leaders in this nation,” he added in response to a circular requiring that all form one admission letters are issued from the ministry's head office in Nairobi.

Concerning Principal transfers being undertaken by the Teachers Service Commission (TSC,) Maiyo registered dissatisfaction on the way the exercise was being carried out.

He noted that it was sad that principals who had stayed in their workstation for less than five years were being transferred while ones who had overstayed for twenty years were not affected.

30 principals in Uasin Gishu have been transferred this year in the ongoing delocalization exercise by the TSC.
