The Rift Valley leaders under the guidance of Cheragany MP Joshua Kutunny had been irked by Murkomen’s latest utterances and were, therefore, planning to kick him out as the chairperson of their caucus.

They had called for a crisis meeting Wednesday night to discuss ‘Murkomen’s conduct among other issues’, a source told this writer.

The vocal senator rushed to Ruto’s home in Karen and asked the DP intervenes to save him.

Sources who attended the MPs' night meeting at Weston hotel said an sms from the DP asking the leaders to iron out their issues amicably saved Murkomen.

He was however reprimanded for making ‘reckless’ statements which were seen as having blessings from the DP.

Hell broke loose for the senator after an interview on Sunday night at Citizen TV where he went full throttle and opposed several policies announced by President Uhuru Kenyatta.

He also claimed there were divisions between Jubilee party leader Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto.

This angered his Rift Valley colleagues.
