In an interview on JKL on Wednesday night, the former Nairobi gubernatorial aspirant said that he supported Uhuru's bid during the poll.

However, he said, this did not mean that he backed Uhuru's Jubilee Party, considering that he vied as an independent candidate.

"I did, but I ran as an independent candidate but I did in that election and that is the only time I voted for Uhuru Kenyatta," he said.

He said that this was the first time he supported Uhuru's bid, rubbishing claims that he was also on Uhuru's side in the 2013 polls.

Miguna pointed out that he never voted in the 2013 elections and was not even a registered voter.

"A lot of people say that I voted for him in 2013, I actually did not vote in 2013. I was not even a registered voter in 2013," he said.

He further said that he never took part on October 26, 2018, presidential rerun after opposition leader Raila Odinga successfully petitioned against Uhuru's win at the Supreme Court.

He said that what was organised by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) was simply not an election.

The poll came after he mended fences with Raila before they once again parted ways after Raila's January 30, 2018, mock presidential coronation.
