Youthful legislator Sylvanus Osoro has accused political competition over his tribulations with residents of South Mugirango.
Mr. Osoro has denied being involved in the beating of some members who allegedly booed him in a public forum which they claimed he came uninvited.
It alleged that Mr. Osoro used some people to beat up the youths whom he had gone to bail out after they were arrested for disruption in a meeting where he was addressing residents.
"It's all a lie. The same guys peddling this propaganda fought me from elections to court and now to this,'' said Mr. Osoro
In a statement purported to be from Osoro's competitor, one Mr. Makori Dennis it is claimed that the area MP was to blame for the woes of the youth.
''You can't do this to young people and accuse them of belting stones to your motorcade. It's not fair at all", said Makori of Onfon Media.
The youths involved in the saga are said to have been rescued by Boda boda operators at the Migori-Kisii border after being abandoned by the armed attackers.
An aspiring MCA for Misesi Ward Vincent Ayaga confirms that they are currently admitted at Tabaka Mission Hospital attending to injuries sustained during the attack.
