Early this month, opposition leader Raila Odinga promised a raft of changes, arguing that those opposed to the impending changes will have no choice other than to support them.

“This will be the year of change for this country. “You make a choice to be with us or not. Nobody will stop the change that is coming,” said Raila as quoted by the Standard.

In an interview at Kameme FM on Thursday, Dr Ruto said he will resist attempts by politicians to sneak in political seats in the executive, adding that the move would ruin the lives of Kenyans.

He said the changes should focus on improving the welfare of citizens. According to the DP, political leaders should focus on making Devolution, education and infrastructuralI systems work.

"The constitution is for all Kenyans, we cannot have a referendum about political positions. I am not opposed to the Constitution review, but it must be about citizen issues," he said.

President Uhuru Kenyatta and opposition leader Raila Odinga are pushing for an all inclusive government, a move that Dr Ruto has vehemently opposed.

At a rally in Turkana a fortnight ago, Ruto asked Kenyans to only allow changes that will directly impact on their lives in impending constitutional changes.

“The changes the people of Kenya are expecting are those in education, roads, connection of electricity, water and not in the fortunes of politicians,” said Ruto
