Deputy President William Ruto on Friday offered the famous 'kijana fupi round' or 'mulmulwas' a job but on one condition.
Speaking at Kapenguria Boys' High School in West Pokot County, Ruto said 'mulmulwas' needs to stop the habit of being against development programmes the government is undertaking in the region for the job to be given to him.
"I heard your governor talking about someone called 'mulmulwas' and he is jobless. Mr Mulmulwas will be offered a job but he should stop being against government projects. It is not right to go and block the installation of the sewage system," DP Ruto said amid cheers from the crowd.
The name 'mulmulwas' become an internet sensation after West Pokot Governor Prof John Lonyangapuo attacked him for interfering with his development projects in the region.
It was later revealed that Lonyangapuo was referring to Dennis Ruto Kapchok, a former aspirant for Lelan ward representative in West Pokot County.
Dennis has been constantly questioning why the governor's deputy, Nicholas Atudonyang has been working from abroad.
DP Ruto was in the company of Lonyangapu and Turkana Governor Josphat Nanok. The two governors promised to be in the same political alignment going forward.
