Laikipia County Women Rep Catherine Waruguru has now added a fresh twist to the row with the Kericho hotel that denied her admission for failing to produce a marriage certificate.

Speaking on Tuesday in Kericho, the MP dropped a bombshell after she revealed that she had done research on the hotel and discovered that it was sitting on grabbed public land.

"Don't go to that place, they engage in discrimination while claiming to be Christians. I have done my research and discovered that that hotel sits on public land. You want to embarrass us with stealing public land. We want the owner Mr Mwangi to tell us how he acquired the land. Even the colonisers were asked to return land. I want him to know I will take a bill on Tuesday against the apartheid-like discrimination," she said.

The video which was shared on the United States of Kiambu Facebook page caused a stir among residents, with a section of them accusing the MP of inciting communities. Here are some of the top reactions:
