Nyaribari Chache MP Richard Tong'i has said he will use funds from the NG-CDF kitty to make lockable desks which will be issued to all public primary schools across the constituency.
Speaking at Nyanchwa primary school on Wednesday, the lawmaker said the making of 100 lockable desks were fully funded by Nyaribari Chache constituency CDF.
"The lockable desks will help pupils lock their books inside to curb theft among themselves. No amount of money will be misused in the lockable desks program," he assured.

The vocal MP said by the end of the month of May each public primary school in his area of jurisdiction will receive 100 lockable desks.
He said he is committed to providing a conducive learning environment for all the children in the constituency.
Tong'i who is allied to the ruling Jubilee party appealed to parents to prioritize education among their children adding that education is a long term investment every parent should make.
"I am urging parents to invest more in their children's education. Any parent who will take education for granted will have to blame him or herself," he noted.
