Senator Murkomen took to twitter to post a selfie of himself alongside the referee moments after the finals in which France defeated Croatia 4-2.

According to Murkomen’s tweet, he said that he made a deal with the referee for him to come to Kenya and referee a charity match.

“Congratulations Referee Nestor Pitana. You did a good job by managing the 2018 FIFA World Cup Finals well. Welcome to Kenya next year for a charity match as agreed. Mungu mbele,” senator Murkomen posted on twitter.

Here are some reactions from Garissa residents following his tweet:

“Now MPs are busying wasting tax payers’ money to go to Russia and they can watch World Cup for free at home. Action should be taken against those MPs,” said Abdi Hussein.

“Murkomen should have used the money he spent to go to Russia by doing something constructive in Kenya. We don’t need charity while you are busy wasting our money,” said Sarah Farhiya.

“Our leaders should stop misusing our money. Am sure his county is suffering and that money he could have used to benefit the residents,” said Abdifatah Jama.

“When it comes to Kenyan teams they are nowhere to be seen. Instead they buy expensive tickets to attend a competition that your country did not even qualify,” said Dakane Afey.
