Nyamira County Governor John Nyagarama has appealed to local and foreign investors to consider investing in the region.

Nyagarama, while addressing mourners on Sunday at Nyantaro village, Bosamaro during the funeral of Nahashon Ong'era Omote (Moturi), the proprietor of Nyamira Express and the Guardian holdings, said Nyamira is a region conducive for business. 

"Nyamira County will grow if more local and foreign investors sets up businesses in the region. I wish to assured investors that Nyamira is the only peaceful place to set up businesses," he noted. 

The county boss reiterated that once businesses and companies have been set up in Nyamira, local youths will benefit by getting job opportunities. 

"We want our youths who are graduates to get jobs in Nyamira and this can only be realized if we will have more investors coming to set up businesses in the county," he added. 

He confirmed that his government is determined to give necessary support to investors intending to invest in Nyamira adding that security is tight across the county. 

"There is no need for investors to fear since we have enough police officers providing security," he stated. 

Nyagarama's remarks comes after the apex court upheld his 2017 election victory last week.
