It has been revealed that one of the seven suspects gunned down in a warehouse in Industrial Area on Sunday night was a millionaire.
George Maina who owns several houses in Nairobi's Mukuru Kwa Njenga is said to be a wealthy businessman and was shot dead by police when they were allegedly caught red-handed trying to rob from a soft drinks warehouse.
The 32-year-old man is said to have been the ring leader of the criminal group and that he was in possession of a pistol during the deadly incident and was even on the close police watch-list.
Police sources indicate Maina was manning the gate using the pistol he had while other six suspects were loading stolen goods into a truck said to be owned by Maina.
Maina allegedly attempted to shoot at police officers when he was confronted at the gate before police fired back and killed him instantly.
The police then proceeded inside the warehouse where they met other six suspects.
