Kakamega Senator Cleophas Malala has slams off Deputy President William Ruto allies over claims that Raila Odinga is eyeing the DP seat. In a video shared on Sunday by Daily Nation, Malala pointed out that Raila is an African leader.
According to vocal Malala, Raila is not of DP Ruto's allies political level and added that Orange Democratic Party leader Raila, being a nation and African leader is presidential material.
"If there is someone who would want to take over Deputy President Seat if Ruto vacates is me (Cleophas Malala) but not Raila Odinga," said Malala.
Furthermore, Senator Malala insisted they will impeach DP Ruto over engagement in graft.
He affirmed the importance of the March 2018 handshake saying both leaders, who were the most voted, agreed to bring peace in Kenya and therefore wondered why Ruto and his allies are interfering with the handshake.
"If Ruto's boss (Uhuru) has said we have a handshake, why is Ruto against his boss? He should keep calm and embrace the handshake," asked Malala.
This comes barely days after Senator James Orengo publicly said they will impeach Ruto. Orengo later claimed he was misquoted arguing he was giving options on how to remove Ruto from his office.
