Bungoma Senator and Ford Kenya leader Moses Wetangula appeared to soften his stance on Raila Sunday in Kuria, Migori County after weeks of bashing the veteran opposition leader.

Wetangula hailed the handshake between and President Uhuru Kenyatta and called on them to institute reforms that would ensure electoral justice in future elections.

"The handshake between Raila and Uhuru is good to an extent but not much. It is good because it has brought tranquillity in the country. We should ask our selves if the injustices have been resolved. The handshake should go beyond acclamations that we have seen," he said.

Wetangula had in earlier weeks bashed Odinga, saying that the handshake was a deal between two men and would not amount to much.

His remarks mark a de-escalation of his harsh rhetoric.
