Former Gatanga Member of Parliament (MP) Peter Kenneth has told Kenyans to blame themselves for the economic hardship the country is facing.
Kenneth says Kenyan voters should take the blame for voting in bad leaders.
Speaking during a church service at AIC Kanisa in Mlolongo on Sunday, Kenneth said that Kenyans often ignore good leaders and vote for bad leaders.
He noted that issues facing the country like corruption and drought is as a result of poor leadership on the part of elected leaders.
"When elections come you (voters) elect people with money and ignore good leaders with agenda like me and my brother Kalonzo and later you start complaining," the former Nairobi gubernatorial candidate said.
Kenneth observed that when bad leaders are elected to public office they take their time to steal to recover the money they dished out during campaigns.
The former lawmaker said that Kenyans must stop voting on the basis of people's wealth but on the vision and agenda they have for the people.
At the same time, the former MP urged Kenyans to support president Uhuru Kenyatta in the renewed war against graft.
He said the president is committed to slay graft but needs the support of every patriotic Kenyan.
Kenneth who was in company of Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka and other politicians asked agencies mandated to investigate and prosecute graft not to be intimidated by politicians.
The war against graft continue to rage on and president Kenyatta has warned that no one implicated in corruption scandals will be spared.
The president has also called on politicians to stop politicizing the fight against graft saying it does not target certain individuals or communities.
