Malindi Member of Parliament Aisha Jumwa has told the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) secretary general Edwin Sifuna to desist from mentioning her name after being expelled from the party.
Jumwa who was speaking at a fundraising event in Baringo on Saturday called upon ODM to leave her alone as she was no longer a member of the party after all.
The outspoken legislator expressed concern over Sifuna's claim that she was practising 'political prostitution' by hopping from supporting one party or an individual to another, saying that women associate politically with whoever they choose.
"Please, you ODM leaders led by Sifuna, give me a break. You have already expelled me from your party," noted Jumwa.
"Today I heard that he (Sifuna) is in Mombasa. He is saying, 'You see, we predicted Aisha Jumwa's political death. It is over for her. She is a woman who is married to this man (ODM/Raila) but she is with another (Jubilee/Ruto).' Sifuna I want to tell you the secret of women. If you see a woman married to a certain man becomes impatient with him then know that he has a problem," she added.
The rebel ODM MP who has openly expressed her support for Deputy President Wiliam Ruto's 2022 presidential bid further argued that one should not be viewed as being weak politically just because she is a woman and has made an independent decision.
