Former Majority leader and Duale's biggest rival Farah Maalim has angrily reacted to allegations that he's on county government's payroll.
Responding to the reports via his official social media page, Maalim described the proponents of the fake news as being 'Pumbavu' and bewitched.
The Garissa politician further disclosed that he has never, at any given time, been in the payroll of any county government despite funding tens of students from the region through their higher education.
"I have never been on the payroll of any county. I have educated more doctors, paramedics & Engineers from Wajir than most MPs from that county.
"I proudly continue to do the same today. Young cursed aasi kids to cast aspersions on my integrity because of legal opinion!!! Pumbavu!" Maalim stated.https://twitter.com/FarahMaalimM/status/1062780891146211329
Maalim's sentiments follows reports circulating in Social media that he was receiving monthly stipends from the County government of Wajir.
It is widely speculated that the originators of the social media allegations were his critics who were out to tarnish his reputation as a highly respected NEP politician and human rights activist.
