Passengers using the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport were delayed on Thursday morning, following a bad early morning weather.
A notice was issued by the leading airline, indicating that they were experiencing delays due to the bad weather.
Several planes that were to land at the airport were directed to land on other airports, while others were rescheduled.
"Good morning, we are experiencing flight disruptions at JKIA due to poor visibility caused by fog. Several flights are being diverted to alternative airports as we monitor the situation. We thank you for your support and apologize for any inconvenience caused," KQ tweeted.
The planes that were supposed to land at 8.00am at the JKIA were directed to Mombasa and Moi Airports.
KQ 311 from Dubai was rescheduled to land at 9.30am and KQ 117 that was from Amsterdam to land at 9.40am.
The KQ 260 from Madagascar was rescheduled at 10.55am and then followed by the KQ 275 from Mauritius at 11.00am. Finally, the KQ 503 from Ghana was to land at 10.40am.
