Speaking at the State Of The Judiciary workshop at the Supreme Court in Nairobi, Ruto said that he had interacted with the CJ, who nullified their August 8, 2017 win, before but he had not secured an opportunity to meet him at his workplace.

“It was my first time to go to the office of the Chief Justice. I have never been there," he said.

The Deputy President also denied claims that the government has lost Sh. 21 billion in the Arror and Kimwarer multi-purpose dam projects in Elgeyo-Marakwet.

He insisted that leaders alleging that there has been a loss of taxpayers are ill-driven and ill-motivated. The second in command insisted that the persons overseeing the project can account for every single coin that was released to fund the project as President Uhuru Kenyatta embarks on the implementation of the Big Four Agenda.

“You have heard that the government has lost Ksh.21 billion in Kimwarer and Arror dams which is a flat lie," he said.

He also said that the Jubilee government has been responsible and no cash has been lost during Uhuru’s regime.

He also said that Uhuru, who is completing his second and final term in power, is committed to the fight against corruption. He maintained that there has been a great milestone in the fight against the vice since Uhuru took over power.

On his part, Uhuru assured Kenyans that he will not look back as he seeks to end corruption before his retirement.
