Musician Esther Akoth popularly known as Akothee has been trending due to her controversial performance in a show on Saturday last week.
Following the performance, a section of Kenyans argued she is free to do what she wants, while others noted that she needs to be a role model because of her huge following online.
On Thursday, Nairobi Woman Representative Esther Passaris during a show in a local media station where she was invited together with the Kenya Film and Classification Board boss Dr Ezekiel Mutua, defended Akothee's act.
According to Ms Passaris, Akothee was entertaining and did not 'open her legs' to young people, telling off Dr Mutua claiming he is overstepping his boundaries and need to apologize to the Musician.
In response, Dr Mutua noted that he was shocked that the woman representative "supports such obscenity".
He argued that as a women leader, she ought to encourage women to respect themselves by not exposing their private parts in public or "gyrating for men".
Dr Mutua responded through a statement on Twitter insisting that the musician's act was cheap and indecent.
Following the remark, Passaris hit out at Mutua adding that he needed help.
"You have a sick mind. Her private part was exposed only in your mind. On stage I saw her sexy dance moves, her flexibility and her confidence in her skin. You saw her vagina through her costume and double stockings. You need help my brother. You need help," she tweeted.
